DO NOT YIELD – Part 5: From Sin’s Grip to God’s Grace

Proverbs 24:30

30 I went by the field of the lazy man, And by the vineyard of the man devoid of understanding; 31 And there it was, all overgrown with thorns; Its surface was covered with nettles; Its stone wall was broken down.

Beloved,
A man devoid of understand encounters the same problems and consequences as a lazy man (Proverbs 24:30). When we as Christians are faced with problems, it is easy and tempting to immediately seek natural resolution when we have been too lazy to remain engaged in spiritual activity and we have allowed ourselves to remain void of understanding. Let’s review the supernatural formula we have been talking about: belief + understanding+ authority= believers authority. A person of authority is a person who:

  • knows what they are talking about;
  • is credentialed or qualified to address, counsel or critique a specific subject or matter;
  • is legally empowered to set standards, make decisions, give instructions, and enforce compliance in a specific area.

One of my major faith teachings is that of the believer’s authority. Why? If you understand the authority you carry as a believer, you will know how to address matters most effectively and you will never be a victim of problems or circumstances.  Furthermore, if you can understand that as a believer, you must have and be a God-given authority on this earth and in the spirit realm then you will take your time to understand things.  The Bible says, “…in all thy getting, get understanding” (Proverbs 4:7). What are some things you must understand as a believer and how will they help you solve problems correctly?

  • Understand Who God is to you.
  • Understand who you are in God.
  • Understand what you are here on earth to do.
  • Understand what and who God has made available to help you along the way.
  • Understand situations, times, and seasons.

You can never properly solve a problem you do not understand. To better understand whatever it is you are facing, review every situation with the understanding of who your God is, who you are in God, your purpose and your God given resources.  If you do this, you won’t waste money and time and other people’s time addressing problems at the surface level.
Check your belief system. Check your level of understanding and make the necessary adjustments so that you face every problem that meets you with the authority that comes with your belief in Christ.

I commend you to God, and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
