Proverbs 24:5, ESV
“A wise man is full of strength, and a man of knowledge enhances his might.”
Beloved,
If you will wax stronger in the game of life, it takes wisdom. Praise God for the grace to do what it takes to gather strength. Now, you must depend on the wisdom of the Ancient of Days, not only to maintain it, but as we learned the last time, to grow your strength. One thing you do not want to find yourself doing is toiling, that is, spending the right amount of time doing the wrong thing. You will work hard and think you are gaining strength when all the while, you are losing it. This is why wisdom is imperative.
How do you obtain wisdom? The bible tells us that if any man lacks wisdom, he should ask for it without wavering. See the following scripture:
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways.
James 1:5-8
A wise man takes the time to see where wisdom is needed, asks for it, and waits for it. He does not go for what is convenient or get distracted or change his mind. He does not compromise his source. He is clear that only God can provide him with sustainable strength. Beloved, find out where wisdom is needed in your life and request it from God. The wisdom you receive will quickly become an area of strength in your life.
I commend you to God, and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
