Romans 13:7
Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor.
Beloved,
When you honor someone, they feel the weight of that honor. Honor simply means “you are weighty in my estimation”. Let God be the weightiest in your estimation. Let men that matter also be weighty in your estimation. Let your spouse be weighty in your estimation. When you cut a marriage covenant, it was also a covenant of honor; your declaration before God and people was that you will treat your spouse with the honor that doesn’t belong to any other man or woman in your life.
You must also be an honorable person. Be an honorable person wherever you go, don’t be a cheap person. People without honor are cheap, they are weightless people. Be honorable, weighty in the spirit and weighty before men. When you see a man of honor, people don’t easily say no to such person. To be honorable means you are a man of integrity, you don’t owe money, you are not a beggar or a borrower, at work you are the most hardworking, you are a contributor wherever you are and not just a consumer.
It is worth knowing that honor opens access to wealth and promotion. Walk with honor and you will soon find that promotion and elevation is the next bus stop. Esteem things that are honorable with honor. Don’t mock someone that is honoring God, join them to honor God. God respects honor, when He sees honor, He can’t restrain Himself. When He sees honor attached to His things, He can’t stop himself from blessing you and from committing to you.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
