DO NOT YIELD – Part 5: From Sin’s Grip to God’s Grace

Philippians 4:6-7

Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God. 7And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus [is yours].

Beloved,

When a crisis is facing a family, the enemy seeks to take away peace by introducing fights and quarrels. Peace is a gate in the realm of the spirit, a gate against every attack of hell. The devil can’t do anything in your home when your home is peaceful. But once the atmosphere of faith is depleted in your home, the devil can take over that home.

Guard your peace; that something goes wrong does not mean that peace must leave your life. Anybody can say anything but if whatever they say takes away your peace then you gave them the permission to rob you of your peace.

It takes the atmosphere of faith for God to work with you, it takes the atmosphere of fear for the devil to work with you. Paul said, “grace and peace be multiplied to you”. The greatest thing the devil can rob you of is not your money; the greatest thing he can rob you of is your peace.

Some people enjoy so much of the peace of God but they take it for granted. You have a marriage of ten years and no fight between you and your spouse, but instead of thanking God for peace, you claim your marriage is boring. You have a pleasant and peaceful relationship with everyone around you, yet you don’t consider this as something to be grateful for. Beloved, thank God for His peace in your life; don’t fight it.

I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.

I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
