Hebrews 12:28-29
Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude, and offer to God pleasing service and acceptable worship with reverence and awe; for our God is [indeed] a consuming fire.
Beloved,
It is amazing to know that some people call themselves Christians, but they find it difficult to sit with God for three hours in a week. Some can’t spend five minutes with God on daily basis. They have 24 hours to themselves, but to give God five minutes — kneeling before the Father to thank Him, taking the word and declaring it, taking that moment of worship with God — is difficult for them; yet they are Christians.
They can give, but if they cannot give their time to God, their worship is still not complete. Beloved, until you can take control of your time, your worship is still not complete. Let God be happy that He gives you time daily.
You may ask, “how do I program myself to worship acceptably before the Lord? You must first understand that acceptable worship is predicated on your relationship with God as
- Your Savior,
- b) Your Father, and
- Your Lord.
In the next few days, I will explain a little more on what I mean by these.
