John 11:25-27
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”
She said to Him, “Yes, Lord, I believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.”
Beloved,
The season of Easter is upon us again, all over the world people are preparing for its celebration in one form or the other. Those who observe Lent are fasting and retail centers are commercializing this very solemn yet powerful event in the body of Christ. Many people, especially Christians, do not quite understand the significance of Easter and lack of knowledge of the importance of this teaching will lead one to make the error of Esau who exchanged his birth right for a bowl of porridge.
So, now and in the coming days, I will be sharing with you the eternal effect of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ to the end that your faith in Him may be strengthened and that you may be able to defend your understanding of what this season is all about.
Have you ever wondered why Jesus died and had to be in the grave for three days? We can’t talk about the leadership of Jesus without talking of His death and resurrection. If we silence that part of Jesus’ life, then we may as well not be called Christians and simply silence the very reason why we are following Christ.
We follow Jesus because of what He said He would do, and He did. So, if we don’t keep talking about the uniqueness of our Christian faith, somebody will soon come and generalize it along with the things that is general to other religions, yet Christianity is not a mere religion, it is our very life.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
