1 Peter 1:3 (AMP)
Blessed [gratefully praised and adored] be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant and boundless mercy has caused us to be born again [that is, to be reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, and set apart for His purpose] to an ever-living hope and confident assurance through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
She said to Him, “Yes, Lord, I believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.”
Beloved,
If the reason you give for being a Christian is because the Lord provides for you, then that reason is not cogent enough. What makes us followers of Jesus are these basic and fundamental things that the world wants us to be quiet over.
Take away the death and resurrection of Jesus and you will take away the reason for His Lordship and the world wants us to be quiet over that. Jesus had to die and be in the grave for three days because prophecy had been given that His death would be in the order of Jonah who was in the belly of the fish for three days and three nights.
We must know why we are followers of Christ and when you are laying the order of Christianity to your children, you must place emphasis on these things. When the world is attempting to destroy the uniqueness of our faith in Christ, they reduce the death and resurrection of Jesus to Easter bunny, candies, and chocolates.
The season of Easter is to remember what Christ did for us which is the basis for the uniqueness of our faith. If you want to talk about Christianity as a religion, then let it be known that Jesus did what the leaders of the world’s religions could never have done for their followers, He died for the world and came back again to life; this isn’t just something minor, it has very serious implications as I will be showing you in days to come.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
