Getting More Out of Life 3
“Therefore the Lord, the God of Israel, declares: ‘I promised that your house and the house of your father should go in and out before me forever,’ but now the Lord declares: ‘Far be it from me, for those who honor me I will honor, and those who despise me shall be lightly esteemed” -1 Samuel 2:20
Beloved,
Choosing to always have the right attitude will get you more out life. You have heard the saying, “your attitude determines your altitude”. Many times, we miss out on opportunities to advance in life because we are carrying the wrong attitude. So, what type of attitude must we put up and when? You should always have the right attitude towards God, the things of God, and the servants of God. Yes, God is our loving Father, but He is also our Lord. He is a Lamb, but also a Lion. I often tell my members, “God is good, but He is not safe”. In other words, you cannot just approach Him anyhow. You must approach Him with honor. Serve Him with honor. Make your requests known to Him with honor. Obey Him with honor. That is, you place Him and everything you know about Him, His expectations, and His sent people as a priority. Doing this is not religious. It is wisdom and it is profitable to you. If you treat God, His affairs and His men any lesser, you are guaranteed lesser.
Another attitude you must bear is that of seriousness. It is painful to see how many people will call themselves Christians yet they treat critical things such as divine assignments as a joke. Another way to put it is that many men carry a casual attitude or an attitude of carelessness or complacency when they ought to be taking life seriously. As a result, they accomplish less in life and tend to waste a lot of time and resources. Zacchaeus is an example of someone who took divine visitation seriously. He was aware of his shortcomings, both in the natural and the spiritual, and He did the needful to get more out of life.
Are you ready to get more out of life? The you must be ready to make the necessary sacrifices, and take the necessary steps, and at the right times, to avoid missing out on the “more” God has made available for you.
I commend you to God and the word of His grace.
I call you NATIONS. I call you blessed.
