Romans 8:38-39
For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Beloved,
Today I will be sharing on what I call the law of conviction. Many times people are not at their best because they lack conviction. It is one thing to know what to do, it is another thing do that thing with conviction. When you know what to do and are fully persuaded of it and you do it with conviction, you are almost unstoppable. Be aware though that there will be demons that will come to discourage you and make you doubt your convictions. Ruth journeyed with Naomi on the strength of conviction and regardless of what was changing, she was ready and determined not to change, Ruth 1:16-18. What are the things that must power your convictions in life? You must understand the following truths:
- The journey you are not convinced of is not worth your time, don’t bother to start it.
- A man with no conviction will be easily stalled by confusion.
- Conviction does not come because you know everything about the journey, it comes because you trust the little you know. For people that say things like like, “I want to be very sure before I decide”, you cannot know all there is to know on the journey of destiny. Too much information does not guarantee that you will get to your destination. But the little you know must be solid and quality information, a body of knowledge that empowers you to take that journey.
- Conviction gives birth to determination, and this is an integral part of passion needed for anything in life.
- Conviction will on most part birth expectations, and this is a major companion on the journey of life. Expectations is a major drive and catalyst in the spirit.
Beloved, here is a guide to help you develop conviction:
- Verify the information you have received and its source of the information. If you can confirm the legitimacy of both the information and its source, then let it empower you to begin to move in the right direction.
- Try new things out. Start from somewhere but don’t start anyhow. Test the waters by identifying the things you don’t mind parting with and committing to that. If it succeeds, you will be encouraged to take on more challenges. On the other hand, if it fails, you will be disappointed, no doubt; but you can learn from that experience and put the lessons to use should you decide to try again.
I commit you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you NATIONS. I call you blessed.
