Luke 19:41-42
Now as He drew near, He saw the city and wept over it, saying, “If you had known, even you, especially in this your day, the things that make for your peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes.
Beloved,
For every man there will always be a season of preparation and a place of performance. People who fail in the place of their performance on most part did not take their season of preparation seriously. Many times what God uses to prepare us does not always look like where He is taking us and because of this, we miss out on what is our training. Stop living your life as though nothing is at stake. Guide against the following things that abort divine process:
Lack of vision and unawareness of the end point (the destination). Understand that you are on a journey, and as you travel on in life, enjoy the journey on the way to the destination. Have the right knowledge of both your process and the destination ahead of you. You don’t need to have all the knowledge but the little that you have must give you the necessary motivation, Hebrews 12:2-3. At some point the disciples wanted to know what was in it for them for following Jesus and He spelled it out for them clearly. Don’t allow the devil to abort your process. If you don’t yet understand your vision, just keep following the Holy Spirit’s guidance.
Impatience. You can’t separate process from patience, 2 Peter 3:15. When you are in the season of waiting, the devil likes to make you think that you are wasting time or that God is wasting your time. When you are waiting, you don’t wait at your terms, you wait at the terms of the One that asked you to wait. Be patient until something happens, 2 Corinthians 4:16-18. You will be at a loss if your outward man is perishing, and your inward man is not being renewed. As you wait, make sure you are gaining something. Make sure virtues are being formed in you. In the school of patience, God is working something that is eternally relevant for you.
Emotions. Train your emotions and give direction to them. The higher you go, the lesser your emotions must direct you. Anyone who subjects his life to the opinions of men will be very emotional. Things will be thrown at you and God will use people and things to train you but how will you handle them?
I commit you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you NATIONS. I call you blessed.
