John 1:1-5
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
Beloved,
As we discussed last time, pillars are necessary for the establishment of anything that will last. So it is for God’s kingdom, the unshakable one. Today, we will look at two of the pillars that distinguish His kingdom from any other one: Jesus and the Word of God. These are two powerful pillars that are one and the same and you must know their potency and ensure they are established in your life as a believer. These two pillars provide the foundation of the kingdom of God. Everything stays and exists upon them. The Bible is the infallible Word of God and it tells us that the entire universe, the worlds and everything therein, were framed on His word (Hebrews 11:3).
You must understand very well that Jesus is the Word of God. God’s kingdom can NEVER be established in your life without Him. He is the Kingdom. In fact, when the pharisees were frustrated, asking when the kingdom of God would arrive eventually, He answered them, ‘”…behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you”. He is the word of God (John 1:14). He is essential to God’s kingdom and God’s kingdom should be your highest priority if you are a child of God.
Jesus is the Word, and the Word of God is the Truth (1 Thessalonians 2:13). This pillar we call ‘God’s Word’ must be paid critical attention to because everything must be measured against it. Anything that does not meet up with it will disappear eventually (John 6:6). When your situation does not match God’s word for your life, the situation is a lie and must bow to God’s Kingdom. But this can only happen IF Jesus and God’s Word are pillars in your life. The world and all in it will be judged on His terms because He is the standard. Everything was made through Him.
You cannot interact with God outside of His Word. Jesus truly is the Way. The standard and protocol of coming to the Father is through Him and getting to know Him and communicate with Him is through and according to His Word, in Jesus name. This is what makes His Kingdom truly unshakable and the only one of its kind. We will talk more on this tomorrow.
