Beloved,
So far, we have introduced the importance of walking in the supernatural and we began the discussion of what it looks like to do so. Knowing God as your power source is key to supernatural living. When you know God as your source, you become a force to be reckoned with. Once you know Him as such, you can’t fall into the trap of leaning on your own understanding. You’re not bound by the limits of your own understanding or human efforts. You can truly do exploits!
Let’s talk a bit more about what it means to know God. My mind goes to Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. To date, many of us fall into the same trap they did where we want to know what God knows more than we want to know God. Such a mindset can only lead to death (Genesis 2-3).
Beloved, to know God requires us to spend time with Him. How much time are you spending reading the word of God? How much time do you spend praying in your heavenly language? Do you take time to go back and listen to, dwell on, and meditate on the word God gives you through His servants so that you truly hear and can apply it to your daily living? How much time do you take to do something about the prophecy or instructions you have received from God?
When you truly know God, it not only impacts how you spend your time, it also must lead to fruitfulness. An indicator that you know the God of your salvation – that you are truly walking supernaturally- is your outcome or fruit in life. You know that you are truly intimate with Christ when everything you produce is through Him. The fruit that comes from your partnership with Christ Jesus will always have everlasting impact and enlarge the kingdom of God. May you truly know the God of your salvation. May you not limit yourself by falling into Satan’s cunning trap of knowing the things of God without knowing God Himself. Truly knowing God is the foundation of supernatural living.
