Hebrews 10:25 NKJV
not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
Beloved,
In this world, you are identified based on the group you affiliate with. You gain a new identity the moment you join a church. While God watched over the nation of Israel, each Israelite identified themselves on the basis of their tribe. When it came to receiving certain benefits, blessings, and allocations, a general affiliation to Israel was not enough; allocations were based on tribes. So it is in the kingdom. If you will reap certain kingdom benefits, it is not enough that you identify as a Christian. Your identity must be traceable to your kingdom tribe – your God-ordained local church. Church membership makes you clearly identifiable. If you are a Christian, but do not subscribe to correct church membership; it is as if you are a one-man army, a soldier who belongs to no cohort and therefore has no watching his back in enemy territory.
Jesus said this Simon, His disciple, as He changed his name to Peter:
Matthew 16:18 NKJV
And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.
Beloved, choose safety. Your safety is in your identity. Your identity is tied to your membership, not your neutrality. Neutrality is the worst position to take on the battlefield as well as in the realm of the spirit. As indicated in the scripture above, it is only the church that the gates of Hell cannot prevail against. Every other covering you place yourself under will render you susceptible to the attack of the devil. May the Lord help us in Jesus’ name
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
