Revelation 4:1 KJV
After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.
Beloved,
As we conclude our study of unusual events that usher in something beyond the ordinary, let us look at a few more of them.
- Unusual abilities. This is similar to unusual beauty that we talked about yesterday. What is that thing you know how to do better than others? Utilize them for the benefit of those around to unlock flows through which you can be blessed.
- Unusual solutions and provisions. When an angel appeared to Manoah’s wife and proclaimed an end to her barrenness, the child, Samson, who was born was not ordinary. God wrought supernatural works through him. If you have a sudden windfall, ask the Lord the reason for it.
- Unusual visitors. In Genesis 18, Abraham had a supernatural experience when he welcomed heavenly visitors. Be discerning in relating with people; do not miss the person who carries what you need.
- Unusual usuals. These are what unusual for most people but has become usual for you as that is how God works with you. Much like the disciples recognize Jesus’ pattern of bringing nothing from something in John 21:6-7, you must learn to identify the way God works with you so that when you see it, you can quickly recognize what God is trying to communicate to you.
The natural man is good at planning based on the happenings of the past, but God plans from the future. This, in fact, is much more full-proof as it takes into account currently unforeseen circumstances we cannot plan around, but you must qualify yourself to access these plans.
Having looked at all of these gateways to the supernatural, consider the scripture above; it is time to “come up hither”. The “up hither” could refer to many things. It may be that you need to spend more time praying and reading the scriptures, or you should listen more, or obey better, or some other thing. Generally, you cannot stay at the same level and keep doing the same things while expecting deeper and more frequent revelations from God. He is always revealing and able to reveal more, but do you have enough desire for it? Daniel was persistent for 21 days and angels were summoned for His sake. Can God trust you with divine communications? May the Lord help us in Jesus’ name.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
