Acts 2:6,12 NKJV
And when this sound occurred, the multitude came together, and were confused, because everyone heard them speak in his own language. So they were all amazed and perplexed, saying to one another, “Whatever could this mean?”
Beloved,
We have discussed the benefits of right interpretation. I want to round off this series by sharing with us how we can maximize our right interpretations of the moves of God. The first way to get the most out of divine move is to identify our own move in God’s move. As He is working, what does He require of us? Consider Rahab (Joshua 2) or the Gibeonites (Joshua 9).
Another thing you can do is accept general instructions as specific to you. Don’t dismiss or trivialize God’s instructions that come through His servants on the altar or directly from the Bible just because God did not ring your doorbell directly. Always decide that He rang your bell spiritually and take divinely given instruction to heart, especially if it was written for the body of Christ at-large. You are the body of Christ. Govern yourself accordingly.
Next, you can build your faith steps around divine encounter. First of all, know how to recognize divine encounter as we have discussed (see our archived Daily Plug article series on “Maximizing Divine Encounter”). What is God’s demand upon your life? Accept it and comply accordingly.
Finally, and this one is very important, watch over your God-given word. WRITE IT DOWN! I can’t stress the importance of this enough. Spiritual things are slippery. Write it down and don’t forget. Review it from time to time. Pray in the direction of your prophecy. Press on. Keep watching your steps and ensure that you’re taking them in the direction of your prophecies.
Don’t take for granted the help of God that is available for you. Maximize the impact of the move of God in your life today and whenever you are privileged.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
