1 Peter 5:7 AMPC
Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.
Beloved,
Anxiety is another fiery dart of the enemy that you must be wary of in the fight of faith. Fear paints a negative and gloomy picture, but anxiety brings an expectation of occurrence of the negative and gloomy picture, thereby causing your heart to be weighed down, Proverbs 12:25 (AMP).
The best way to deal with anxiety is to guard against its entrance into your life, Luke 12:22-23 (TPT). There is an entry point to anxiety and the best way to deal with it is way before it enters. On faith lane, there is a clear distinction between your heart and your head. It is not realistic that you won’t care about a matter, or that you won’t think about a pressing issue won’t come into one’s thinking. What you have control over as a believer is to not allow it enter your heart. And that is the goal of the enemy: to sink the dart of anxiety into your heart.
To guard against anxiety, fill your heart with God’s word long before that time and pray ahead. What you do before circumstances occur will determine your eventual result. As a prudent believer, God grants you the grace to foresee potential negative occurrence and to prepare.
Live from the standpoint of your knowledge about God. Intimately know His person, His promises, His principles, His power, and His provisions. Let your knowledge of God influence your expectations of Him, because your expectations will determine your desired outcome.
Also, don’t give words to negative expectations. What the devil seeks to achieve is to push people to speak in the direction of their pain and worry and the reality of what’s going on around them. If he achieves that, he has won the battle. This is why you must be spiritually sensitive and intelligent because every spoken word gives life to what is within. You must not speak carelessly. Draw from a higher and more superior knowledge to counter the negative thoughts and expectations the enemy is bringing to you. Begin to lend your voice to that superior knowledge and give it life by speaking according to that positive expectation.
Cast your care (anxiety) upon the Lord, 1 Peter 5:7 (ASV). Brooding over a matter anxiously oftentimes creates an illusion that one is being responsible. Draw a line between meditative thinking and anxiety. Cast that care, that subject matter of concern to the One who has the authority and power to fix that problem. The enemy will come repeatedly to remind you of that matter hoping to induce feelings of frustration and hopelessness in you. Remind him that the matter has been settled between you and the Lord.
Beloved, however Satan chooses to induce anxiety in you, keep referring him back to Jesus who took every care away from you and never get tired of doing so.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
