Nehemiah 8:10 NIV
Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
Beloved,
Two things are personal to you: your pain and your praise. One thing we hardly do as we grow up is celebrate. You must learn to consciously, deliberately, celebrate. Why? Because you only have this one life to live. Beloved, if you are not careful, the weight of responsibilities and the demands of life can become so much that you no longer see the need to celebrate.
God designed life to be enjoyed. Revelation 4:11 says this:
Revelation 4:11 NKJV
“You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created.”
All things are and were created for God’s pleasure. You cannot bring pleasure to God if you are not happy. No matter how hard you are trying, there will always be something to fix in life. The people who have a happy and a sunny disposition also face life’s pressures and challenges, but they have made a personal decision not to allow those experiences to define them.
May the Lord give you revelation of the power of celebration in Jesus’ name. Enjoy your life!
