Corinthians 5:14-15
For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. 15 And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.
Jesus himself died so that you may live and have an abundant life. He calls you to die to self, pick up your cross daily and follow Him so that you may live with Him in eternity. Jesus paid the ultimate price for your redemption so that you could be unshackled from a life of sin, regret and shame. Hence, you have a choice to walk in His light or to stay in the darkness.
Imagine you sold your only priceless cow that you have been fattening for years and set a feast before your children because they were famished. If your children are not impressed with this sacrificial act but instead decided to throw the food away, what would your reaction be?
God so loved us and let His only beloved son die a painful death on the cross for us. That act of love demands our all. If you want all of God, you have to give all of you. His love should compel you to say no to your flesh-inspired desires in order to draw nearer to him and live to please him only. The more you say yes to His spirit within you and deny what feels more comfortable or desirable to your flesh, the more His spirit strengthens you and backs you up. So pick yourself up from wherever you are and begin to die to self in order to live for Christ.
I commend you to God, and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
