1 Corinthians 11:19 TPT
Differences of opinion are unavoidable, yet they will reveal which ones among you truly have God’s approval.
Beloved,
Disagreements are inevitable, but they do not need to become a full-blown conflict that can lead to a negative outcome. To avoid the negative impacts conflicts, it is important to first understand the nature of conflicts, why they occur, and how to manage them.
Conflicts happen for various reasons. Many conflicts are borne out of:
- A sincere misunderstanding.
- An attempt to navigate a bend in the relationship.
- Personal interest and manipulation.
- Outright rebellion.
- Unspoken personal struggles. When people don’t speak out, others can only assume.
- Demonic assault.
These are a few of the causes of conflict. It is important to know the root of an issue to know how to deal with it. A conflict borne out of a misunderstand can be easily addressed by supplying the right information. However, for one cause by rebellion, it may be necessary to oust the rebels.
One thing remains true though; every conflict can be resolved with the wisdom of God, no matter its cause. The resolution can take different forms and shapes. In some cases, the resolution may mean the end of the relationship. This is not always bad. It may be the finger of God that created the conflict in order to terminate that relationship.
Next time, we will discuss practical steps to take to resolve conflict.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
