Readjust your values and place first things first.
Beloved,
I grew up to know that value can be broadly categorized into AESTHETIC and INTRINSIC values.
INTRINSIC values are true, inherent and essential values while AESTHETIC values are the added features. They add to the beauty but not to the functionalities.
When you see two brand new 2020 ML350 Mercedes-Benz in black and white colors, the only difference is their aesthetic value, but their intrinsic values are the same. The black one may be more expensive because of assumed elegance and demand for it, but anyone who is prudent will prioritize functionality before visual appeal.
People that are racist only place value on the aesthetic and not the intrinsic value. We will get better at living together when we pay more attention to people’s intrinsic values than to their aesthetic values.
So, be a better human being by relating with people’s intrinsic value more than their aesthetic value. Live and relate with people from this understanding. And when dealing with people who are yet to understand this difference, train yourself not to be bothered by their ignorance, live the difference.
