Proverbs 23:4 | Living Bible
…Why waste your time?…
Proverbs 12:11 | Easy-to-Read Version
…Those who waste their time on worthless projects are foolish.
Proverbs 28:19 | Contemporary English Version
…Waste time, and you will have a lot of trouble.
Beloved,
Whatever you do not get angry at, you tolerate; and whatever you tolerate, if care is not taken, you will embrace and allow in your life.
One thing that you must ensure never tolerate is a time waster. Unfortunately, we tolerate time wasters so much. We get involved in activities that have little or no contributions to our future. We excuse them out with excuses that seem reasonable to our senses and lawfully allow them into our lives.
In my few years of active pastoral work, I have seen how the devil has wasted people’s time by just introducing something flimsy which they could have gotten rid of if they could just develop a determined, toughened intolerance to it. Unfortunately, they did not—probably because no one has ever stirred their heart towards developing such an intolerance.
Today, I challenge you to let a holy anger rise in you against forces that are wasting your time. This anger would make you rise in the place of prayer to deal with the spirit responsible for that menace and also guide you to making actionable decisions that will serve as a defense against those wasters.
I pray that the hand of the Lord will rest upon you and deliver you from time wasters.
I commend you to God, and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
