1 Timothy 6:17
“Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment.”
Beloved,
As we shared last week, you must be careful not to trust in the deceptive of riches. Don’t think that because you now have money at another level, you don’t need God again. It’s no coincidence the Bible says this:
“And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”- Matthew 19:24
It’s dangerous for a man to begin to believe that he is living his best life by his own hand. One way to prevent falling into a trap of exalting money over your Maker is to make it a habit of giving thanks to Him. The more you acknowledge God as the Giver all that is good and perfect (James 1:17), the more you are privileged to enjoy His Presence and benevolence. God loves to give good gifts to us (Matthew 7:11). As we thank Him, we declare His kingdom is at work in our lives. As a citizen of God’s kingdom, the principle of giving is not limited to money, and thanks, alone. In addition to our treasure, we can give of our time and talent. Please note that if you are giving in all sincerity and with zeal as we are instructed in scripture, You rarely can give one in place of the other. If you are giving eagerly and with the attitude of Christ, then you would not be able to withhold giving God every area of your life. When you hold nothing back from Him, He withholds no good thing from you.
I commend you to God and the Word of His Grace. I call you blessed and nations.
