Luke 23:4 NKJV
“…So Pilate said to the chief priests and the crowd, ‘I find no fault in this Man,’”
Beloved,
As we continue our exploration, it’s essential to identify some of the most common ways errors manifest in our lives. For instance, we frequently make wrong assumptions based on limited understanding or past experiences. Consider the story of Zacharias, who nearly altered the destiny of his son, John the Baptist, because the name and purpose assigned to the child did not align with family tradition (Luke 1:59-63). Without divine intervention, this pivotal error might never have been corrected.
Another frequent cause of error stems from the careless use of words. James 3:2 reminds us, “For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body.” Additionally, spiritual justification of fleshly desires can lead to grave consequences, as noted in Jude 1:11, which warns against following the error of Balaam for personal gain or rebellion like Korah’s.
All these pitfalls share a common denominator: they arise when decisions are made independently of the Holy Spirit. Without spiritual guidance, mistakes are inevitable. Part 2 of this series challenges readers to examine how earthly traditions, impulsive actions, and unchecked desires may be leading them away from God’s will.
I commend you to God and the Word of His grace. May you be blessed and become a blessing to nations.
