Mark 15:3-5
3 And the chief priests accused Him of many things, but He answered nothing. 4 Then Pilate asked Him again, saying, “Do You answer nothing? See how many things [a]they testify against You!” 5 But Jesus still answered nothing, so that Pilate marveled.
Beloved,
As you may have known, one major cause of friction in marriage is communication. In the cause of expressing their mind, a lot of people have damaged their spouse with their words. Words have caused such irreparable wounds in many marriages because the spouses never learned the communication skills of kingdom.
One of these communication skills is silence—knowing when to say nothing. As simple as this may sound, it could be difficult for many because they cannot just fathom not defending themselves, especially when they are right.
Today, I show you one major mindset that will help you practice the communication of silence: know when your right is not your right. From the scripture above, Jesus had a right to defend Himself, but He chose not to, because it was right that He kept silent that destiny may play its course.
Beloved, it is not every time that your right is your right. Sometimes, you will need to yield your right for God to personally defend you. Let the Holy Spirit give you a permission to use your right as it pleases Him and not as it pleases you.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
