DO NOT YIELD – Part 5: From Sin’s Grip to God’s Grace

1 Corinthians 10:23 | Amplified Classic

All things are legitimate [permissible-and we are free to do anything we please], but not all things are helpful (expedient, profitable, and wholesome). All things are legitimate, but not all things are constructive [to character] and edifying [to spiritual life].

Beloved,
Another pollutant to avoid is unforgiveness. In the previous edition, I stated that guilt will lead to unforgiveness. Unforgiveness is telling God, “I want to take Your place in the life of the person that offended me.” It is a stylish way of telling God, “I do not want the blood of Jesus to have an effect over the life of my friend.” Unforgiveness opens you up to the spirit of revenge and that could be deadly. Unforgiveness shuts down the mercy of God over your life. While it is understood that the pain of the offence can be real, you can forgive by receiving grace from God to forgive as the Father forgives.

Ingratitude is another subtle pollutant of destiny. One major sign of pride is ingratitude. This practice stems from an inability to see anything good in a thing, or a deliberate act of despising something good in a thing, or an absolute refusal to acknowledge how good a thing is.
This attitude makes people run away from a man. It even makes good things stay far away from him. You must consciously train yourself to see good things in everything. Being a believer should make this easy for you since the scripture teaches us that God works all things for out good.
An act of ingratitude contributed majorly to the reason why God killed Nabal. We must be careful not to slip to this error.

I commend you to God, and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
