Genesis 3:20
20 And Adam called his wife’s name Eve,[a] because she was the mother of all living.
Mothers are God’s gift to humanity. They are divinely equipped to conceive, give birth and nurture. Mothers are unstoppable people that the world is yet to fully harness. Many times, men are scared of what women are capable of, and that makes men to walk over women.
As we celebrate mother’s day today, it is important to talk about the blessings that we cannot quantify that comes through mothers. The love, courage, tenacity, fierceness and patience of mothers have no limits. In addition, women must be reminded of their worth. Women must not allow the world to erroneously define who they are.
Women must rejoice in their strength. As much as the world preaches that “women can do everything that men can do”, the fact remains that women are different from men. One of the differences is the capacity to be a mother. We must not allow the world to redefine who we are to us. Rather, we must understand who we are in the light of God’s word. Women must focus on their potential and maximize who they are. Women must enjoy being mothers.
I commend you to God, and to the word of His grace.
