Genesis 25:30-33
30And Esau said to Jacob, “Please feed me with that same red stew, for I am weary.” Therefore his name was called Edom
31But Jacob said, “Sell me your birthright as of this day.
32And Esau said, “Look, I am about to die; so what is this birthright to me?”
33Then Jacob said, “Swear to me as of this day.” So he swore to him, and sold his birthright to Jacob.
Beloved,
It is appalling to see Christians who are led by feelings. Following your feelings is no better than a guessing game. In serious destiny pursuit, feelings must be thrown out of the window. Children may live by their feelings, but adults must grow beyond that.
A common saying is that “this feeling cannot be wrong”. Well, I have to tell you that while you are still in the body, your feelings can be wrong. Learn to always look beyond your feelings. Even though, a feeling seems valid, it needs to be managed. Many are living with regrets because they followed their feelings instead of seeking for the truth. While feelings may be soothing for the moment and hurt later, truth that is handled well will deliver you from future pain.
Finally, learn to manage your feelings. Manage them before they take you over. Some feelings can be so strong to the extent of shutting down your reasoning. Some can enslave. Curb your feelings before you get to such a point. Do not be too confident in your feelings. Check it against the word of God. Uproot or abort every feeling that is contrary to divine order before it assassinate your destiny.
I commend you to God, and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
