Psalm 92:12-13 AMPC
[12] The [uncompromisingly] righteous shall flourish like the palm tree [be long-lived, stately, upright, useful, and fruitful]; they shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon [majestic, stable, durable, and incorruptible]. [13] Planted in the house of the Lord, they shall flourish in the courts of our God.
Beloved,
The rate at which the number of believers that are biased against the church is increasing is alarming. While I understand that the factors responsible for this are varied (and many of them could sound very reasonable), the fact remains that God has not changed His stance about His church.
The biases that people have about the church are the tricks of the devil to make people lose trust in the church. He knows that once people lose trust in a man, whatever help the person offers will not be received. I can see how this truth plays out in the way many are rejecting the help the church is offering.
There are couple of illustrations that the scriptures used to describe the importance of church: one of it is that the church is “the mother of the saint” while God Himself remains the Father of the saint. Another illustration is seeing the church as a fertile soil.
As explained by the above scripture, it is the member that is well planted in God’s-ordained-church that will be useful and fruitful. It is also the member that is planted that will invariably flourish in the courts of God. If you want to get to the peak of your Christianity, you must be planted in the kingdom.
I commend you to God, and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
