Numbers 27:18
“And the LORD said to Moses: “Take Joshua the son of Nun with you, a man in whom is the Spirit, and lay your hand on him…”
Beloved,
We learned yesterday that there are gifts designed by God, made especially for you to make up for every deficiency. The only way you can access these spiritual gifts is by being rightly positioned to receive them. Remember, impartation is not something you get on your own. It is what you obtain when you are rightly connected to the right flow.
Numbers 27:18 shows us how Joshua received impartation from Moses. He was connected to the Holy Spirit and to the flow that God put in place for him, through His servant, Moses. We can receive impartation both directly and indirectly- that is through God, men, or angels of the army of the Lord. How can you be sure you are properly connected to receive impartation? To be rightly positioned, you must do the following:
- Have your natural affairs in order and in progress. I cannot tell you how many people are sitting around waiting to receive in the place of prayer and impartation what they are already fully equipped to do without doing what they are capable of doing. Impartation is a booster, like a vitamin. It’s not your main food and will never sustain you as such. It only supplements what you lack. Have something you are working on already. Impartation will take you further.
- Identify a need you or someone else has that exceeds your natural capacity. Impartation will add a ‘super’ to the natural and deliver supernatural results.
- Be aligned! Align your heart with the will of God and with the servant(s) of God. You can’t attract or receive from what or who you do not honor. (Genesis 18:1-8). You will do well to learn how to honor God’s servants as you honor God in all that you think, say and do.
- Be hungry! Understand the law of hunger and expectation and let it work for you. Desire more and you will get more.
- Understand the two ways Impartation is received: by word and by contact. Usually it is by contact, but stay alert, connected and ready to receive impartation however God brings its your way.
I commend you to God, and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
