John 12:27 NKJV
“Now My soul is troubled, and what shall I say? ‘Father, save Me from this hour’? But for this purpose I came to this hour.
Beloved,
The power of purpose is being undermined in our generation. There is a way the pressure of life is compelling young minds to succumb to the tide of life, so much so that people are giving up on their purpose to pursue anything except purpose.
Neglect of purpose reduces the life of a man to a mere sheet of paper on the stormy and windy sea. It is the purpose that gives a man direction and power to stay grounded regardless of changing circumstances. Purpose gives a man a reference point from which meaning is given to every detail of his life.
Above all, the verse above reveals the power of purpose as a force that renders the pain of process inconsequential. Jesus envisaged that the pain attached to the next process He was to take up would be so much that He needed to pray to the Lord to save Him (deliver Him from going through the hour). However, He remembered the purpose behind the pain and that took care of the feeling of pain.
If the pain of process will not terminate the process and progress, you must define the purpose of process, and let it rise above the pain.
I commend you to God, and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
