Judges 8:21 NKJV
So Zebah and Zalmunna said, “Rise yourself, and kill us; for as a man is, so is his strength.” So Gideon arose and killed Zebah and Zalmunna, and took the crescent ornaments that were on their camels’ necks.
Beloved,
The definition of man is his strength. Beloved, where do you gain your strength? The Psalmist says to us:
Blessed is the man whose strength is in You, Whose heart is set on pilgrimage. [6] As they pass through the Valley of Baca, They make it a spring; The rain also covers it with pools. [7] They go from strength to strength; Each one appears before God in Zion
Psalm 84:5-7, NKJV
David derived his strength from the Lord as evidenced in the passage below:
Now David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the LORD his God. [7] Then David said to Abiathar the priest, Ahimelech’s son, “Please bring the ephod here to me.” And Abiathar brought the ephod to David. [8] So David inquired of the LORD, saying, “Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them?” And He answered him, “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all.”
1 Samuel 30:6-8 NKJV
Like David, may you continue to find your strength in God in Jesus mighty name.
I commend you to God, and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
