So the child grew and became strong in spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his manifestation to Israel.
Beloved,
As a Christian, if you are not going from strength to strength, then you are not strengthened. Stagnancy is not an option for the children of God. Beloved, where you stop growing is where weakness lies. You become vulnerable when you become so comfortable or complacent or too arrogant to grow. Desert experiences are inevitable for you. Deserts are designed to expose weakness. John was not content to just receive prophecy. He took his time to grow in the things of God. He grew so that in a place meant to expose weaknesses, his ministry was quite strong.
If you are feeling weak, check your life. Where are you stagnant? Make growing in the things of God and in the place of your destiny a priority.
I commend you to God, and to the word of His grace.
