Job 7:11
Therefore, I will not restrain my mouth; I will speak in the anguish of my spirit; I will complain in the bitterness of my soul.
Beloved,
The devil’s business is to show you things that will scare you; pictures that will destabilize you, make you sad, make you lose your joy, and cause you to think that God is out of control or He has left you. Job is an example of a man who faced life’s challenges and lost everything. Under the burden of all that he was facing he could not help but begin to speak out the bitterness of his soul and the complaints of his heart, exactly what the devil wanted him to do.
The Bible calls the devil the Accuser, he accuses us to God so that we can be punished and dealt with, and he accuses God to us so as to discredit Him and all He stands for. This intimate knowledge of God’s faithfulness is extremely important for believers. When we know God as faithful and we allow the Holy Spirit to keep reminding us of the ways He has shown Himself faithful; we begin to stop looking at things through a myopic lens and from the devil’s perspective, and we begin to see the bigger picture, and this will affect how we pray.
When you see and receive what the devil shows you and carry it to God in prayer, you are in essence telling God that He is too small; you expect He should be as intimidated as you are by the problems you are facing. But beloved, regardless of what we may be going through, always remember that God is steady, immoveable, reliable, and intentional when it comes to our lives. We will continue this tomorrow.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
