Job 2:9-10
Then his wife said to him, “Do you still hold fast to your integrity? Curse God and die!” But he said to her, “You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept adversity?” In all this Job did not sin with his lips.
Beloved,
In the days to come, I will be sharing with you one of the major secrets to an effective prayer life. What is in my heart for you today is a secret I learned from my mother in destiny. One of the keys to an effective prayer life is to not let your prayer time be centered around problems rather, let your prayer time be centered on divine edification. What do I mean by this? Most people center their prayer time on the problems that they have seen exactly as the devil is showing them.
We see a clear picture of this in Psalm 102. In verses 2-11, it looked to David like God was hiding His face and didn’t want to be involved in his matter. He described vividly what he was going through in his mind and body, and how his enemies were taking advantage of his low moments, he also shared his perception of the way God had treated him.
Many of us will identify with David in this passage; it looks as if the devil is out to get us and we feel bruised, beaten, and battered by life. I have come to share some good news with you today, no matter how you feel or what you may be going through, God is ever faithful (2 Timothy 2:13). The understanding of God’s faithfulness forms a strong foundation for building an effective prayer life.
As you allow your prayer time to be centered around God’s faithfulness, you will begin to see the effect of this in your prayer life.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
