What You Need in Life (III): You Need Jesus

Revelations 22:13 

I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last. 

Beloved,

You need Jesus to become everything you want to become in life. Our mind is limited and can only function based on what already happened. While for many of us our lives are guided by schedules, the truth is no one knows what will happen within the next minute or hour. No one knows the future. With Jesus in your life, you can function in the future because he is the only One that knows your future better that how you know your yesterday.

You need Jesus because He is the Word. The Bible says that man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. When you are a believer and you don’t have any word that you’re working with, there is still something wrong with your Christianity.

Your need for him transcends religion, you need Him to be the real God of your life. Not only do you need Him in your life, but you need to carry His presence in your life. He must be participating in every step of your life. What made the difference in the life of Joseph was the presence of God that was with Him. Gen 39:2-5;21. What Jesus left with us when He was leaving bodily was His word and His Spirit, you need the manifest presence of the Holy Spirit in your life. You need Him to direct your steps in life, you need Him to be involved in every step you take. You need him to pinch you when you have just made a mistake so you can correct it immediately.

His presence is the distinguishing factor that separates believers from people of the world. The world today is evil, the only thing that guarantees your sustenance and comfort in life is the person of the Holy Spirit. Don’t keep Jesus in one corner of your heart and keep doing your own thing. Don’t restrict the power of the Holy Spirit in your life. You need the work of the Holy Spirit in your life to guide you, to train you, to tell you what exactly you need in life.

Beloved, if you examine yourself and you sincerely admit that you don’t have Jesus living in you, invite Him into your life today to become first your Savior and then your Lord.
