DO NOT YIELD – Part 5: From Sin’s Grip to God’s Grace

 Isaiah 9:5-6‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

For every warrior’s sandal from the noisy battle, and garments rolled in blood, will be used for burning and fuel of fire. For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Beloved,

Jesus demonstrated that His name – Prince of peace, carries power and supernatural ability through events described in the Bible. A scene was described to us in the gospels: the wind was boisterous, and the waves were crashing; everything that could go wrong went wrong, yet Jesus was still sleeping. But as soon as the wind and waves became aware that the Prince of peace was in the midst of the storm, they became still.

The mention of your name calls your attention. So, when you call on Jesus as the Prince of peace, you are calling His attention to your matter. Names sensitizes you to your destiny. The power in name as an identity is such that when your name/identity is mentioned, there should immediately follow an adjustment in attitude, mindset, character, and behavior. That is why as a parent, when you want to name your child, name him after his destiny so that that name begins to form something in him: the realization of who he is.

This is why when God wants to change the life of a man he will first change his name. That is why God gave Jesus such amazing names, one of which is the Prince of peace.

I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.

I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
