John 14:27
Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Beloved,
What is peace to you? The world has its own definition of peace; they say it is freedom from war and stress. If we go by that definition, then we may as well say there is no peace for anyone in this world. Yet the scriptures says there is peace, so it is important for us to understand how the scriptures define peace.
The peace of God passes ALL understanding (Philippians 4:7). That is why people might not understand why you feel hopeful in a seemingly hopeless situation, smiling when they think you should be crying. They cannot understand why you will not lose your mind when you just lost your job. They cannot understand why and how you are being led to take the steps you are taking. You also cannot understand this peace. Peace is the reason why you are acting in a way that is opposite of how others are behaving. The reason your mind is not troubled in the middle of the darkness is peace.
The Bible says it is important that peace keeps your mind and heart. I trust the Lord that you will have that peace, and also a multiplication of it.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
