DO NOT YIELD – Part 5: From Sin’s Grip to God’s Grace

Hebrews 12:28-29 (AMP)

Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude, and offer to God pleasing service and acceptable worship with reverence and awe; for our God is [indeed] a consuming fire.

Beloved,

We established yesterday that worship and service are inseparable.  Understand first that God saved you to serve him and to worship him. Redemption offers us three things:

  • Eternal life,
  • Ability to partner with God to do something on this earth, and
  • Ability to relate with God and to worship him.

Of these three, the one that is most important to us on this side of eternity is for you to have a relationship with God. God did not save you just to get to heaven. If he saved you just to get to heaven, he could have taken you the minute after you got born again.

He saved you so that you may have fellowship with him. That was what we lost at the Fall of man. Satan brought that separation because he knew how important worship by man is to God. The worship by man is not the only worship that God enjoys but it is the most important that He enjoys. The only way the separation can be reversed is through the blood of Jesus. Therefore, the death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus qualify us to have a relationship with the Father.

So, God saved you so that you may serve him. After saving you, He then invites you to join Him to destroy all that the devil has put in place. We do this by establishing God’s kingdom on the earth. After you have done this, you can now come home to heaven to be rewarded and to enjoy.

Beloved, God saved you to serve Him, if you are not serving Him, you are missing out on the most important thing about your existence.

I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.

I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
