Romans 8:2
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.
Beloved,
There are two things you must do for yourself as a believer. You can be taught how to do them, but the doing itself must be by you:
- You learn to pray by praying.
- You learn to give by giving.
The kind of poverty some are dealing with, it will take sacrifice to get out of it, not jobs nor toiling. This is because most of the troubles we are dealing with came through the sacrifice of our ancestors. Some made a pact with an idol with the promise that if they as an individual is blessed, then other family members and generations to come can continue to live in abject poverty and penury.
Regarding ancestral curses, from Proverbs 3:33, we see that blessings and curses affect the entire family. So, what a lot of people are dealing with they find almost impossible to trace because they weren’t there when their forefathers made those errors. They are just paying for the mistakes of the older generation.
Just as with Hezekiah when he opened up the treasuries to the Babylonians to brag about his wealth and the Lord cursed him, the choices of some individuals today is programming their lineages for the curse that will invariably come upon them.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
