Romans 8:2
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.
Beloved,
Not only must we break free from ancestral flow, we must also pray for our children to be exempted from it, and even go ahead to pray for their potential spouses, that they won’t affect the lives of our children. It is a major prayer point to pray over your children that they won’t make a wrong choice of a partner.
In the church history of Nigeria where I come from, there was a move in the ‘70s called the SU (Scripture Union) movement. That move purified that particular generation and it influenced the generation after them also. There was a strong presence of that movement in schools and fellowships but now their influence is no longer felt because those individuals who were on fire for the Lord retired, or after graduating, couldn’t transition smoothly back into their local churches due to spiritual pride and arrogance.
They eventually died and left the scene but their children in rebellion to that move are now working in partnership with the devil to bring back the curses their fathers were exempted from. This is why we must pray, that as God will help you raise your children well, God will also be raising the spouses they will get married to in days to come, so that the pure breed can still remain.
