Psalms 105:19-20 NLT
“Until the time came to fulfill his dreams, the Lord tested Joseph’s character. Then Pharaoh sent for him and set him free; the ruler of the nation opened his prison door.”
Beloved,
A few days ago we learned something from Isaac. We saw how he was able to break forth and flourish based on the promises of God. In the scripture verses above, we see that Isaac received a word from the Lord. Now notice something. Once he received that word, he did not wait passively. He did something about it. The bible says, “Isaac built an altar there and called on the name of the Lord. There he pitched his tent, and there his servants dug a well” (Genesis 26:25).
Beloved, this is how we ought to respond to the promises of God. This is how to break forth. Please notice the order in which he carried out his responses upon receiving his promise. First, he built an altar and called on the name of the Lord. He honored God and gave thanks there. Then he pitched a tent or dwelt in the place where he received the promise. Then he dug his well—he dug as he had dug before but his outcome was different from before because now, he was operating on the promise of God and after he properly worshipped the Lord.
What has the Lord already spoken concerning your life? Use that to break forth! Breaking forth requires action. Once you know what the Lord has spoken concerning you, plan to do something about it. Make sure the first part of that action response is proper honor to the God of your salvation.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
