Romans 14:16-17
Therefore, do not let your good be spoken of as evil; for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
Beloved,
A kingdom citizen must be able to communicate that he has the righteousness of God. This righteousness cannot be earned; rather, it is a gift. As a citizen, you must also communicate holiness – this is the measure of your yieldedness to the workings of the Holy Ghost in your life.
Righteousness can not be improved upon. On the other hand, holiness requires you to work on it intentionally. Our response to the righteousness of God bestowed on us is commitment to doing the right thing, at the right time, and in the right way consistently. It requires our conformity to the image of Christ. It is in that commitment that you can boldly say the truth, and it is in that commitment that you can receive the chastisement and discipline of the Holy Spirit when you err.
The character of the kingdom is also peaceful but could be violent in execution. God tells us in Psalm 120:7 that when He makes a declaration, there are some adjustments that are expected to happen in the spirit realm. Blessed are you beloved when God speaks to you.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
