Psalms 89:19 NLT
“Long ago you spoke in a vision to your faithful people. You said, “I have raised up a warrior. I have selected him from the common people to be king.”
Not only does the anointing make a way for us, it helps us to help others. The verse above in Psalm 89:19 describes how God raised a warrior for the sake of His chosen people. He anointed a man to carry out His will in a manner that that man could not have never done ordinarily.
Beloved, the anointing that God places upon a man is not for the man. Though it is possible that the man benefits from it, the anointing is upon him to carry out a work that will ensure His will is done for the benefit His children.
This is why it is important that you don’t take the anointing God places upon you for granted. Lives and destinies depend on it. I often challenge my stewards with this question: Could it be that some souls depend on you to make it into heaven or a destiny goes unfulfilled because you did not take your anointing seriously?
