1 Samuel 16:13 NLT
“So as David stood there among his brothers, Samuel took the flask of olive oil he had brought and anointed David with the oil. And the Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon David from that day on. Then Samuel returned to Ramah.”
God doesn’t deal with people until He anoints them. The anointing is the manifestation of the Spirit and power of God working in the life of a man to accomplish God’s will for His people on the earth.
The anointing consecrates, appoints, and empowers a person to do what He could not do before. It distinguishes a person. You’ll know a person has been anointed when they can do now what they couldn’t before.
Know this: if you want to walk with God, you can never do so ordinarily. It will take the anointing.
