Genesis 37:9
Then he dreamed still another dream and told it to his brothers, and said, “Look, I have dreamed another dream. And this time, the sun, the moon, and the eleven stars bowed down to me.”
Genesis 39:11-12
But it happened about this time, when Joseph went into the house to do his work, and none of the men of the house was inside, 12 that she caught him by his garment, saying, “Lie with me.” But he left his garment in her hand, and fled and ran outside.
The future belongs to those who consciously build for tomorrow. Many are too consumed with today and they fall victim of the set up of the devil as he deceptively steals their tomorrow. Anyone who will matter in the future will be intentional and deliberate.
Many people grew up without being aware of this truth and they become highly disappointed in themselves when they get to the future. The future needs a lot of preparation and planning.
To secure your future, don’t be weary of dreaming. Just like Joseph, be ready to dream again. Cast your vision again and again. Your energy and passion is renewed as you do this.
Secondly, be willing to walk away from pleasure that may rob you of your future. Of course, pleasure is good. However, you must pick the pleasure that you must enjoy based on the will of God and walk away from others. Potiphar’s house was the best thing that could have happened to Joseph at the moment, but he chose to walk away from the only feasible help when he refused Portiphar’s wife. Joseph eventually got into the future and had no regrets. He became a prime minister in a strange land.
Do you want to be a man of the future? What are you walking away from today?
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
