John 13:17
If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.
Beloved,
There are many believers that unbelievers cannot envy. They can’t look at their lives and results and desire to become a believer in Christ. The problem of most of these believers is not ingenuineness of their salvation, the problem is how they are living their lives in Christ.
These believers can be categorized into 3:
1. Ignorant believers: These are the people who know nothing about the kingdom. They are born again but they are not students of the Bible and the kingdom. When you look at practices that some churches embrace, you can easily conclude that only foolish believers can be gullible enough to practice such. It is clear that some can be God’s people and still perish because they are ignorant.
2. Believers with inaccurate knowledge: This set of believers are believers with little knowledge or inaccurate knowledge. You would hear some justifying their anger because they read in their Bible that “be angry”, but they wouldn’t read through to know that the same verse states that you should not sin. Some know that they must give but are not studious enough to know that they must balance spiritual knowledge with human responsibilities.
3. Believers that do not practice their faith intelligently: This set of people are studious but are not doers of what they know. Jesus said,
“If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them”. John 13:17 KJV
Beloved, may your faith in Christ not confuse unbelievers. Make a decision to live your life in Christ in a way and manner that the Lord will be magnified and men will be challenged to serve your God.
Let me leave you with how the Passion Translation puts John 13:17:
“So now put into practice what I have done for you, and you will experience a life of happiness enriched with untold blessings!”
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
