John 4:23 AMP
But a time is coming and is already here when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit [from the heart, the inner self] and in truth; for the Father seeks such people to be His worshipers.
Beloved,
The subject of worship should not be new to you if you’ve been a believer for a while. Worship is what we all claim to go for each time we go to the church or present ourselves in a solitary place before the Lord. Unfortunately, many people who claim to be worshipping God are not doing so because most of the time, the practice is not in line with what is required.
The scripture is clear about the kind of worship that God requires; one of the requirements is what the verse of the scripture above states: worship must come from the heart and not just from the mouth. Worship must be an expression of what God is worth to us. It must come out of the revelation of God we have.
Worship will be true when it can connect God to man and man to God. If whatever we do cannot achieve either of this, it is not true.
So, as you present yourself before the Lord in worship today, check your worship with this standard. Be sure that your worship in words, songs, meditation and other acts of worship connect you to God and connect God to you.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you NATIONS. I call you blessed.
