Psalm 91:5-6 NKJV
[5] You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day, [6] Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.
Beloved,
If you are going to make it in life and destiny you must master being a good steward of your time, talent, and resources. It is so sad that we live in a generation that is prone to waste. While wastage might be the way of the world, it can’t be your pattern of living. In this series, we will deal with the spirit of wastage.
The first thing you must know is that wasting is not just a bad habit- it’s a spirit. Carefully review the scripture at the beginning of this write up. Now consider that everything that is of the Spirit of God is fruitful, it multiplies, and is of abundance. Hence we believers are able to enjoy the fruit of the Spirit.
Know that the devil is anti- the kingdom of God and hell-bent on getting you to waste your life. He wouldn’t want you to be a Christian and be productive in any way lest you pose a great threat to the kingdom of darkness.
The prodigal son was due for an inheritance according to the parable of Jesus. In order to get him to forfeit his true inheritance as a son, the devil got him to waste and squander away everything his father had given him.
12] And the younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the portion of goods that falls to me.’ So he divided to them his livelihood. [13] And not many days after, the younger son gathered all together, journeyed to a far country, and there wasted his possessions with prodigal living (Luke 15:13).
If not for the mercy of God the prodigal son would have become the prodigal slave.
Beloved, don’t fall prey to the spirit of waste. Stay in God’s presence and enjoy divine fruitfulness that is only accessible by His grace and your capacity to heed His direction and instruction.
I commend you to God and the word of His grace.
I call you NATIONS. I call you blessed.
