DO NOT YIELD – Part 5: From Sin’s Grip to God’s Grace

I Corinthians 1:10
Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

Beloved,

The grace to understand differences everywhere is a supernatural function and it is divinely given. The church thrives because of our differences; we are not all the same. Your respect in this world will come from understanding why you are different from every other person. Your power will come out of that recognition. Because God graces us differently, you respect other people because you see their differences. If as a man, you don’t see the difference between your wife and you, you will be a bad husband and a bad leader. This is because the role of a father and husband, and that of wife and mother are offices that you are each occupying.
Superiority thinking says, “I don’t need you.” Inferiority thinking says, “I am not needed.” But effective thinking says, “we need each other because we are different from each other. What I have, you may not have; yet what you have, I may also not have”. It is a superiority complex to think that you are better than someone just because you have more than them. God does not want His children to have any form of complex: inferiority or superiority. He wants us to have a proper and modest estimation of ourselves, our abilities, and our limitations, and to pursue growth and transformation.

When you respect differences, you will always be better because you will always accommodate that people’s differences. This is not talking about diversity in the sense that the world is talking about it; this is about having the correct understanding of the law of differences. A man is different from a woman, one person’s calling is different from another’s, fathers are different from sons. Beloved, the Spirit of the fear of the Lord will help you to put that difference in place – this is a supernatural ability that only God can give.

I pray that the Holy Spirit will tutor us to honor the Lord and to honor the sacred.

I call you NATIONS. I call you blessed.
