Proverbs 18:16
A man’s gift makes room for him and brings him before great men.
Beloved,
As mentioned yesterday, you must be willing and ready to serve freely with your gift and not allow financial gain to be your motivator. As you serve in the kingdom with your gifts, the force of blessing rests upon them.
The wife of the prophet in 2 Kings 4 had debts to settle, and she was at risk of her children being taken away from her which made her approach Elisha for help. When the prophet released the blessing of God on the jar of oil she had, it opened up a stream of income for the widow. Another example is the widow of Zarephath. For her jar of flour and her jug of oil not to run out, she had to first provide a meal for the servant of God.
David did not have the crowd to cheer him on when he killed the lion and the bear to protect his father’s livestock. If he had run away from those confrontations, no one would have blamed him. But he honed his skills by using them for the sake of his father’s sheep. When he deployed those same skills to kill Goliath, the giant, it paid off in incredible ways.
Like these examples given, you must be willing to use your gifts and talents for the benefit of the kingdom and as you do, God will begin to bring you into dimensions you never imagined you are able to reach in life.
I commit you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you NATIONS. I call you blessed.
